Buliding Our Ryan Home: Week 12

We are in the home stretch, but there is still a lot of change this week. On the exterior, the siding and shutters were installed. The concrete top to the front porch was also poured and they brought in fine stone for the driveway to replace the big chunky stone until our driveway gets poured when it warms up.

The interior is almost done so there were only a couple changes this week. The biggest one is CARPET! All of the flooring is officially completed. I checked in on Monday and our Project Manager and another contractor were working on touch ups. While I was there our PM removed the covering on the solid floors so we got our first official glance of our wood laminate.

When we went back later in the week our appliances, the stove and microwave, were now in place. There is blue tape spots everywhere. This may be new for you, and if it is, these are placed to show where touch ups or corrections need to be made. These final touch ups will be made during these last few weeks.
