Meet the Millers

Hello! We are the Millers!

My name is Ashly and this is my husband, Bret. We are high school sweethearts who have been together for 15 years and married for eleven. I have my bachelor degree in Social Work and worked with various populations in this field for five years before becoming a stay at home mom to homeschool our four girls. I also work from home teaching others about essential oils and I will be completing my Holistic Nutrition Certification in January 2020, so I can also share about the power of nutrition when it comes to health and wellness. I recently adopted a plant-based diet after learning I had many food sensitivities, including every type of meat.

Bret was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in 2011 which led our family down the path of natural alternatives and learning about nutrition. After being off medication for three years he experienced a perforation in his bowels requiring an ileostomy and resection in 2016. Since his surgery he has continued to be off medication and managing his Crohn's with diet and holistic interventions. He works as a project planner for the local electric company. In his free time he loves playing with our two dogs and training for Spartan races.

Kayleigh is the oldest of our four girls. She will  is 11! She is quite the little artist with a main focus on comic books. She is a lover of all things Minecraft, Pokemon and Harry Potter. We cannot keep her nose out of a book! In her free time she loves to work on creating things in Minecraft.

Riverlyn is ten. She has been active since day one and enjoys running, riding her bike and being outside. After 4 seasons doing All-Star Cheer she decided to step away to pursue Crossfit. She is a tumble-a-holic but also loves spending time at the gym under the barbell. 

Surryn, aka Suri, is eight. She is one spunky (and sneaky) girl. She loves to make messes any chance she gets but has a creative eye. We all call her the "junkyard cat" because she can make a masterpiece out of just about anything she can get her hands on. In her spare time she is either outside or crafting at her creation station.

Haegan, is the baby. Well not so much a baby anymore now that she turned 7. She may be tiny but she is LOUD! She always has something to say and doesn't like to be left out of anything. Right now she is a little bit Frozen obsessed. We can barely get her out of her Elsa costume and everything has to be centered around snow, Elsa, Sven or Olaf. She loves to play pretend and play with her baby doll, Lilly, and her American Girl Doll, Carly. They come with us everywhere.

We couldn't skip over our furry family members! Murray and Mycroft are both Australian Cattle Dogs. Murray is our five year old Blue Heeler and Mycroft is our almost three year old Red Heeler (even though he is mostly white). They love to get into EVERYTHING, bark at the mailman, play ball and do tricks. When we have nice weather you can find them both hanging out on the deck in the sunshine.
