Building Our Ryan Home: Week 11

The first thing we noticed as we pulled up this week is that the brick front is complete! We are still waiting on siding, shutters, pouring the porch and painting the door, but we really love how the brick has come together. 

Last week they started locking the doors since pretty much everything is going into place inside, so we weren't able to check the progress interior. After a little coordination with our amazing Project Manager (PM) we were able to get inside this week. 

When we walked in, it really started to feel like home. The first thing we noticed this week was all the lights are in. The electrical crew came in and put in all the pocket lights, fixtures, outlets and switches. 

The painter had just left as we pulled up so all of the doors had a fresh coat of white paint so we had to be very careful. We walked around and discussed where furniture will be going and where curtains are needed. We will not be using many because the natural light in here is amazing, but they are definitely needed in the front half bath and all the bedrooms. The rest we plan to leave open.

As more finishing touches are added we are really loving the "chunky" craftsmen style.
