Building Our Ryan Home: Week 4

This week is Week 4!! We got a text from our Project Manager (PM) on Thursday telling us they will be starting framing on Friday. As much as I wanted to go check everything out Friday night at 5 PM, but I waited until my in-laws came over on Saturday. When we pulled up Saturday night this is what we saw:

That is right! The same thing as last week. In their defense, there has been some weird Ohio winter weather on both Friday and Saturday. I would imagine it would be quite difficult to put up exterior structures in rain and sleet. A few things we did see different this week included the unpacking of the big pile of wood that was delivered last week. All of the doors were in a pile, sub floor in a pile, roof framing in a pile. It was A LOT of piles. We looked ahead to the weather next week and it seems like it will be dry the first couple days. Hopefully, by the time we check in next week this will start to look like a house and my weekly check ins will start to get a lot more interesting! If this is your first time building a Ryan Home, I promise you the beginning seems slow. Things need to be dug, and poured, and set and framed. But, after all of that hurry up and wait things really start to change! So, stay tuned for all of that fun!
